During the RCF Moving Sound Sessions, special attention was given to the compact systems of the Evox J Series, with the Evox J9 and J11 being thoroughly auditioned and compared.

KX 515-A met SUB 808-AS
We were genuinely impressed by the entry-level model from the KX series, particularly the KX 515A paired with the 808AS subwoofer. Although this is the most accessible configuration, the setup immediately demonstrated that great attention has been paid to every detail. The smallest subwoofers, discreetly positioned in the center beneath the screen, delivered tight and controlled low frequencies that remained perfectly balanced with the rest of the system. Remarkably, these compact and easily transportable sub enclosures produced a surprisingly powerful and deep low end.
In combination with the KX 515A and the 808AS, the system created a highly coherent soundstage. The integration between lows, mids, and highs felt natural, with no element overpowering the others. What makes this system even more impressive is how effortlessly it combines finesse and power—something you wouldn’t typically expect in this class.
In short, this entry-level model proves that you don’t have to jump straight to top-tier systems to enjoy a mature and immersive listening experience
