Radial Engineering — professional sound, from stage to studio

Whether you take the stage as a musician or run every show as a sound engineer, Radial Engineering provides the tools that eliminate noise, keep signals clean, and simplify your workflow. We would like to briefly introduce the full range, from compact DI boxes to smart PA accessories.

What is a DI box — and why do you need one?

A DI (Direct Injection) box solves a fundamental problem: your instrument or device operates with an unbalanced, high-impedance signal, but a mixing console or PA system expects a balanced, low-impedance signal. Without a DI, you lose sound quality over longer cable distances and run the risk of hum, noise, and interference. With a good DI box, you send a clean, noise-free signal to the mixer, regardless of the distance. There are two types:

Passive or active — what is the difference?

A passive DI operates without power and uses a transformer to convert the signal. As a result, it is reliable and ideal for instruments with a strong output signal, such as active basses, keyboards, and synthesizers; furthermore, the transformer isolation effectively eliminates ground loops.

An active DI, on the other hand, requires phantom power or a battery for its built-in buffer and is actually the better choice for passive instruments such as an acoustic guitar or a guitar with single-coil pickups. It offers higher input sensitivity and delivers a consistent, strong signal — regardless of cable length.

DI Boxes

Guitar & bass

Passive guitars and basses produce a weak signal that requires an active DI with a buffer. Active instruments—basses with a built-in preamp or active pickups—are actually better off with a passive DI that processes the stronger signal without saturation or coloration. The right choice makes a world of difference in sound reproduction and noise reduction.

Pro48

Active DI for passive guitars and basses. High input sensitivity, transparent sound reproduction, and fully phantom powered — no battery needed. Reliable and compact enough for any gig.

Ideal for: acoustic guitar, passive electric guitar & bass

J48 MK2

The touring standard. Handles extreme transients without distortion and delivers a particularly natural, open sound. Built to perform flawlessly night after night on the busiest stages.

Ideal for: professional guitarists and bassists on tour

ProDI

Passive DI with an input impedance of 140kΩ. Processes the high output signal of active basses and guitars without coloration or distortion, reliable and battery-free.

Ideal for: active bass, guitar with active pickups

StageBug SB-1

Ultimately compact and lightweight, fits in any guitar case or pedalboard bag. Powered by phantom power, with the same reliability as the larger Radial models. Ideal for live musicians.

Ideal for: acoustic guitarists, singer-songwriters

Keyboards & piano

Digital pianos, synthesizers, and workstations provide a stereo output with a relatively high output signal. Most keyboardists want to send both channels to the mixer without occupying two separate DI channels—or they want the option to keep stereo for a fuller sound. A passive DI with sufficient headroom and a stereo-to-mono merge function is the standard choice here.

ProD2

2-channel passive DI specifically for stereo keyboards and synthesizers. Ample headroom with Eclipse ET-DB2 transformers ensures flat, neutral transfer across the entire frequency spectrum. The touring standard for keyboardists.

Ideal for: digital piano, synthesizer, workstation

StageBug SB-2

Compact passive DI with built-in stereo-to-mono merge function. Fits in the keyboard bag, immediately saves a channel on the mixer, and operates battery-free. Ideal for smaller setups or as a backup on tour.

Ideal for: keyboard in a compact live setup, as a backup

J48 Stereo

The 2-channel active version of the legendary J48 — the same premium sound reproduction, fully in stereo. For the demanding keyboardist who does not want to compromise on sound quality on stage.

Ideal for: pro keyboardist, live stereo production

JDI MK3

Reference quality with a premium Jensen transformer. Exceptionally flat frequency response and zero coloration, the choice of top producers and sound engineers for years for keyboards and other high-level sources.

Ideal for: studio recording, touring pro, any high-level source

DJ & multimedia

Laptops, tablets, smartphones, and DJ mixers use unbalanced consumer-grade outputs that are susceptible to hum and noise. A multimedia DI allows you to send a clean, balanced signal to the PA—whether wired or wireless.

BT-Pro V2

Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet. Balanced XLR output to the PA — no more need for adapter cables.

Ideal for: DJs, presentations, streaming, background music

USB Pro

High-resolution USB DAC and DI box for laptops. Digital to balanced analog — clear, noise-free, and latency-free.

Ideal for: laptop DJ, Ableton Live performance, playback

ProAV2

Stereo passive DI with jack, RCA, and 3.5mm inputs. For AV technicians and presenters who want to quickly connect any device.

Ideal for: AV installations, events, presentation equipment

PA Helpers

PA Helpers are the unsung heroes of every production. They solve the practical problems that keep your sound engineer up at night: ground loops, unwanted hum, stage communication, and power protection. Indispensable, even though you don't see them.

Ice Cube IC-1

2-channel line-level isolator. Instantly eliminates hum and ground loops. The first thing a technician deploys at a challenging venue.

For: ground loop hum on balanced lines, festivals, club sound

ProRMP

100% passive reamper. Send recorded tracks back to amplifiers and effects for the perfect post-recording sound.

For: studio recordings, post-production, refining guitar tones

HotShot DM1

Footswitch microphone switch. Mute the PA and communicate discreetly with band members or crew without disturbing the audience.

For: MCs, lead vocalists, presenters, stage communication

Power-1

Rack-mount power filter with surge protection. Protects all your equipment, at any location.

For: rack setups, touring, locations with inconsistent power quality
