Genelec 8040BPM
The Genelec 8040BPM is a professional active 2-way studio monitor designed for those who need accurate and reliable sound reproduction. The monitor is suitable for music production, mixing, mastering and other professional audio applications.
The 8040B combines a 6.5" woofer with a 19 mm metal dome tweeter, each powered by its own 90 W Class AB amplifier. The monitor has a frequency response of 48 Hz to 20 kHz (±2 dB) and extends down to 41 Hz and up to 25 kHz at -6 dB. With a maximum SPL of at least 115 dB, it also provides sufficient output for professional use.
The enclosure is made from cast aluminium and features Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™), contributing to controlled and accurate sound reproduction. The integrated Iso-Pod™ also helps with correct positioning and reduces unwanted vibrations.
