About DALI
DALI stands for Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries. The Danish brand has been around since 1983 and is now sold in 65 countries. DALI is known for its clear, natural sound and its "low-loss" design, which delivers a wide and spacious soundstage. At Bekafun you'll find two series from the range: the SONIK series for indoors and the GARDIAN series for outdoors.
The SONIK series
SONIK is DALI's new series and the successor to the popular OBERON range. It's DALI's biggest step since OBERON in 2018, aimed at both music lovers and home cinema fans. The series has seven models: the compact SONIK 1 and SONIK 3 (bookshelf), the SONIK 5, 7 and 9 (floorstanding), plus an ON-WALL and a CINEMA version for home cinema.
What makes the range strong: technology that trickles down from the pricier KORE, EPIKORE and EPICON models, such as the SMC magnet system for low distortion and the Clarity Cone drivers. Every model has a new, ultra-light 29mm soft-dome tweeter; the SONIK 7 and 9 pair it with an extra planar tweeter for even more detail in the highs. In short: high-level hi-fi performance at an accessible price.
The GARDIAN series
With the GARDIAN, DALI brings its signature sound outdoors for the first time. It's an outdoor speaker built to handle any weather. Thanks to its IP67 rating it's fully dust- and waterproof and works from -20°C to +70°C — ideal for a terrace, garden, pool or hospitality setting.
Inside sits a coaxial driver (a 5¼" bass/midrange with a 1" soft-dome tweeter mounted in its centre) for wide, even sound, plus two internal passive radiators that add bass without ports that could let water in. The cabinet is washable, available in black or white, and thanks to the click-fit mounting system with tilt and swivel you hang it quickly and neatly — with a hidden, weatherproof cable connection.
