What are the differences between an SLX-D and a QLX-D system?

Both the SLX-D and QLX-D wireless systems offer digital transmission with exceptionally clear audio, low noise and >118 dB dynamic range, so they sound virtually identical. There are some differences in functions and performance that are irrelevant to the schools and small theaters, bands, and places of worship. SLX-D was designed for this.

The QLX-D system offers a larger tuning bandwidth (64 MHz versus 44 MHz) and more systems can be used simultaneously in one 8 MHz TV channel (22 versus 12).
The QLX-D system is available in the UHF, VHF and 1.8 GHz bands; the SLX-D system is only available in the UHF band, which is more than enough options for most users.
The SLX-D system offers both the SLXD4 single-channel receiver and the SLXD4D two-channel receiver; the QLXD4 receiver is a single channel half rack unit.
The latency of the QLX-D system is 2.9 ms; SLX-D is 3.2 ms.
The QLXD4 receiver is compatible with the ULXD6 boundary transmitter and ULXD8 gooseneck transmitter for use in meeting rooms.
The QLX-D system offers Encryption, something the SLX-D system does not offer.
QLX-D can be used with Wireless Workbench software and SystemOn software or the ShurePlus Channels app for remote monitoring and control. SLX-D can also be used with Wireless Workbench and the Channels App/

SLX-D VS SLX WIRELESS SYSTEMS

The old SLX system used analog transmission and had a tuning bandwidth of 24 MHz and could support up to 6 compatible channels in an 8 MHz spectrum. The SLX-D system offers many additional features and performance improvements, including:
24-bit digital transmission with >118 dB dynamic range for superior sound quality
44MHz tuning bandwidth and support for up to 12 compatible channels in 8MHz spectrum
Optional rechargeable lithium-ion battery and dual charging station for the transmitters
Available as SLXD4 single channel half 19" or as SLXD4D dual channel receiver in full 19" rack unit
Features an Ethernet port that allows for faster RF setup when using multiple units, as well as easy firmware updates and control via Wireless Workbench and third-party control systems
