DPA MicroLock Core+
06-02-25
DPA Microphones is a renowned brand specializing in the manufacturing of high-quality microphones. Their microphones are used in a wide range of applications, from live music performances to studio recordings.
Introducing CORE+ by DPA
CORE+ is a revolutionary leap ahead in microphone design, blurring the lines between what is and isn’t acoustically possible. This technology neutralizes distortion across the entire dynamic range of the microphone making any residual distortion imperceptible to the naked ear and virtually unmeasurable.
Audio will never be the same
Removing these remnants of distortion allows sound engineers to capture a new level of audio clarity easily and efficiently, so they can shape an extraordinary listening experience for the audience.
Features of CORE+:
-Effectively negates microphone distortion across the entire dynamic range
-Captures the purest, clearest sound at the source
-Lets sound engineers focus on shaping an extraordinary experience for the audience
-Reduces hassle from unpredictable challenges in the live show environment
Distortion free...
Microphones with CORE+ deliver crystal clear, distortion-free sound across the entire dynamic range of the microphone. Anyone seeking the highest possible sound quality will appreciate CORE+.
Whether recording or amplifying content, the sound will remain clear and completely undistorted by the microphone, even when the talent speaks or sings at louder volumes.
...from high to low SPL
Especially at higher sound pressure levels and with multiple microphones on stage, the elimination of distortion will enhance the overall clarity and transparency of the entire sound image.
For miniature microphones in particular, sound professionals in theatres and film industry are the primary beneficiaries.
Neutralizing distortion
Microphones with CORE+ provide even more clarity across the entire dynamic range, from low to high sound pressure levels.

Introducing MicroLock
MicroLock is a dependable microphone connector that offers reliability, durability and robustness, ensuring that sound professionals can trust their equipment in any situation. It allows you to use your microphones with different brands of transmitters, so you don't have to buy a new mic for each system. In other words, you are no longer bound to one wireless system.
MicroLock offers:
-Flexibility – cost - effective and compatible with many wireles s systems via adaptors
-Reliability – secure locking and stable connection reduces the risk of accidental disconnections
Durability – robust, reliable and designed to withstand the long-term everyday use
Compact – perfect when space is limited
MicroLock is fully backwards compatible with the MicroDot connector. This means that MicroLock parts can be assembled with MicroDot parts and function as if they were of MicroDot type.
Please note that the locking function is only available if both the male and female parts are MicroLock.
Using MicroLock
You connect MicroLock in the exact same way as if it were a MicroDot. The only difference is that you do not need to screw it all the way in – the connection is secure, and the connector is considered assembled as soon as you hear the clicking sound or feel the tactile feedback. The clicking sound is produced by the locking teeth being pressed together by the spring, ensuring that the connector does not loosen unintentionally until you actively unscrew it.
When you need to disconnect MicroLock, you pull the sleeve back slightly (0.5 mm) to compress the spring that locks the teeth, releasing the lock, and then unscrew the connection as you normally would with a MicroDot.
What’s the difference?
The primary difference between MicroLock and MicroDot is the locking mechanism, which adds an extra layer of security and protects the connection from any accidental disconnection during use.
MicroLock is slightly larger in diameter than MicroDot (Ø 6.6 m m / 0.26 in vs Ø 5.6 mm/ 0.22 in). In addition, the insulator color inside the connector has been changed from red in MicroDot to DPA green in MicroLock to ensure quick recognition.
