Key and scale settings
When you set the key and scale to Chordcat, only the notes belonging to the selected key and scale will be linked to the keyboard.
Chord compatibility suggested in Chord Play mode or Chord Cruiser mode, as well as the selected key and scale, is indicated by lights. Perfect for beginners and professional musicians.
Extensive workspace: 8 tracks, 16 patterns and 128 steps
8 tracks: Play up to 8 different instruments or sounds simultaneously, such as drums, bass, and keys, with separate control for each track. You can also adjust the volume of a track and balance the left and right audio channels.
16 patterns: Create and save up to 16 unique phrases per track and build dynamic arrangements. You can also use the Pattern Chain function to play patterns in a specific order for seamless transitions.
128 steps: Arrange sounds precisely within a 16-step (1-bar) x 8-page configuration for detailed patterns and timing for your compositions.
Chordcat easily integrates with external synthesizers and DAW software on PCs and Macs using the MIDI OUT/THRU, MIDI IN, and USB Type-C ports.
Use Chord Play and Chord Cruiser modes for effortless control and performance with your connected devices.
integration with DAW software: Chordcat Manager and Ableton Live Lite
Import and export consecutive patterns between Chordcat and your PC/Mac with the dedicated Chordcat Manager software.
Export patterns created on the hardware to your DAW software to modify sounds, or import patterns from your DAW into Chordcat to experiment with arrangements.
Chordcat offers the music production software Ableton Live Lite as a free bundle. By combining Chordcat and Ableton Live Lite, you can achieve a seamless workflow, from generating ideas to creating full-fledged songs.
