Wolfmix W1 MK3 – The wait is over
Five years ago, the way lighting is controlled changed with the original Wolfmix W1. The concept was simple yet powerful: making professional lighting control accessible to performing musicians and DJs, without the need for a laptop or technical expertise. By now, more than 40,000 artists worldwide have embraced that concept. Now, Wolfmix announces the next upgrade: the Wolfmix W1 MK3.
The upgrades
The MK3 retains everything that made the W1 MK2 popular, but with refinements users have requested. For instance, the button mechanism has been improved for noticeably better tactile feedback during operation. The outdated USB port makes way for a modern USB-C connection. And the streamlined design with a precision-molded housing has been specifically developed to perfectly complement the new WING.

For those who prefer to travel light, there are compact soft bags. Both options ensure your Wolfmix arrives safely, ready for the next show.

Wolfmix WING - The next step in DMX performance
With the introduction of the Wolfmix WING, Wolfmix takes a big step towards more control, more precision, and above all: more “live feeling” in lighting control. Following the success of the standalone Wolfmix W1 controllers, there is now an expansion that is clearly aimed at larger shows.
What exactly is the Wolfmix WING?
- The Wolfmix WING is not a standalone controller, but an extension to the Wolfmix W1 (MK1, MK2, and MK3). The W1 remains the central unit in your setup, while the WING adds extra physical controls and a more professional workflow.
- 8 motorized faders with LED feedback
- 8 OLED displays for clear parameter display
- A central main dimmer
- New Cue List mode for structured shows
- Dedicated GO button for playback
- Control & Mapping modes for flexibility
What immediately stands out about the WING is the strong focus on direct operation. Instead of navigating through menus, you access key parameters via physical faders and clear displays. This makes a big difference during live situations, where speed and intuition are paramount.
As a result, working feels less digital and more tangible. Small adjustments to intensity, effects, or color happen smoothly and without interruption, allowing you as an operator to stay more in the flow of your show. Especially for those accustomed to classic lighting consoles, this way of working will immediately feel familiar.
Good news for those who don’t want to wait: the Wolfmix WING is now available for pre-order. Expected availability this autumn.
