RC AUDIO RED ALERT

Finally a solution to keep DJs out of the red.

Red alert is a completely new product type that ensures that the DJ respects the limits of the sound system.

When the input gain goes red, a red lamp flashes (this level can of course be calibrated), making it easy to respond. If this does not happen, the lamp will continue to flash and the BOOTH output will be muted. Inaudible to the audience, but very clear to the DJ. Once the input level is reduced, the monitor immediately starts working again.

The Red Alert ensures that you can get the maximum potential from your sound system without distortion happening at the source!

RC AUDIO LEVELIZA

With the Leveliza, RC Audio offers an automated gain control system that monitors loudness levels without audible side effects.

The Leveliza uses a new type of circuit to specifically identify the audibly loudest components in a music signal and analyze them over time. When the average perceived loudness exceeds the calibratable threshold, Leveliza adjusts it very slowly and subtly. This without compromising compression or the quality of the audio signal.

It is not a conventional limiter and does not prevent the amplifiers from clipping, so system protection should still be used as normal.

RC AUDIO BASSWATCH

RC Audio Basswatch regulates therefore maximum levels of sub-in low frequencies are granted to you with a quality rating.

Basswatch does not have frequent frequencies at 100 Hz at any time on the door, but it analyzes the levels of its components. Wanneer het low-level boven deze ingestelde komt past hij deze subtiel aan om het round deze drempel te houden.

You may have to listen to the Basswatch's active response and signal reagen. Het is echter geen conventionele limir en zal niet compresseren dus systeembescherming dient nog steeds zoals normaal gebruikt te bruikt en worden.

NEW HANK LEVEL ONE: PROFESSIONAL STEREO AUDIO LIMITER

The Newhank Level One is a small size easy to use low cost stereo audio limiter. The input control for left and right can be adjusted separately and the limiting is adjusted for left and right together.

Level One is the solution for bars, restaurants and small clubs that have to deal with (low) level restrictions and dont want to loose the audio quality, or rental companies that want to protect their equipment. Where most limiters compress or change the sound, Level One is keeping the sound alive, even at low levels and/or operating full in limit. After adjustments are set, Level One can be sealed or pad locked.

Drawmer

Drawmer is a brand specializing in the manufacturing of professional audio equipment. They offer a wide range of products including compressors, limiters, gates, preamplifiers, and signal processors.

DRAWMER SP2120: SPEAKER PROTECTOR

The Drawmer SP2120 Speaker Protector offers both strict level control and tremendous peace of mind to the contractor, installer and venue in the knowledge that, as its name suggests, the 1U, two channel processor eliminates the possibility of ’unauthorised’ excessive sound pressure levels on speaker systems (as caused by spikes and pops in the system, or by over-enthusiast djs/engineers) which could result in damage to both chassis drivers and amplifier electronics. In addition only the maintenance engineer and the venue manager hold a key. The unit also gives a wide variety of venues, such as clubs, theatres, pubs, schools, universities etc. the opportunity to comply with the local legislation regarding noise levels.

The SP2120 front panel features an integral security lock to ensure that adjustments to maximum volume levels are implemented by key holders only. In ’unlocked’ mode two front panel pre-sets are exposed and available for adjustment by the installer. The first calibrates the 16 segment Left/Right bargraphs to the incoming audio and dictates the point at which ’protection’ processing commences. The second sets the absolute volume level to which the sound system is allowed to perform. If the SP2120 receives increased signal levels, the transparent ’protection’ circuitry is activated which maintains the specified system volume level without degradation in sound quality.

DRAWMER SL22: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER

1. SAFEGUARD YOUR HEARING

Conform to Noise at Work Regulations by controlling the level of the dedicated headphone output to prevent hearing damage to anyone wearing headphones on a regular basis - DJ’s, sound engineers in recording studio’s, students listening to audio via various media. Additional connectors on the rear can be used for remote data logging or to trigger external warning devices.

2. CONFORM TO REGULATIONS

The need to conform to Local Authority Regulations is absolutely imperative, none more so than in the area of noise control. Many products are on the market that claim to do the job but these often take the form of a crude switch, either turning off the power or disconnecting the speakers, both of which are very disruptive in any event. The SL22 is different, it controls the volume, but in a transparent, unobtrusive way, that you will struggle to notice. Not only is it responsive and versatile but does so in a secure manner meaning that tampering is extremely difficult. Other features include remote dimming of the volume, as well as the connection to a fire alarm system, reducing the volume automatically during a fire and allowing the alarm to be heard more clearly.

3. PROTECT YOUR SPEAKERS

Whether in a large arena with a p.a. system and multiple speakers, or a bar or theatre, there are few things more troublesome than blowing a speaker cone or amplifier electronics. The SL22 has been specifically designed to transparently catch those unwanted SPL’s and protect your gear. Not only will it save money by reducing the cost of speaker repairs, but also reduce ’call-out’ costs of sound system service/repair engineers, lower sound system ’down time’ and the consequential loss of income, as well as the reputation of the venue.

SL22-1.jpg

The SL22 front panel features an integral security plate to ensure that adjustments to maximum volume levels are implemented by authorised personnel only. Once removed two front panel pre-sets are exposed and available for adjustment by the installer. The first calibrates the protect indication to the incoming audio and dictates the point at which ’protection’ processing commences. The second sets the absolute volume level to which the sound system is allowed to perform. If the SL22 receives increased signal levels, the transparent ’protection’ circuitry is activated which maintains the specified system volume level without degradation in sound quality. With the security plate replaced a security label can be placed across (supplied) to provide further security and show evidence of tampering with the settings. In addition, on the right side of the panel three LED indicators complement the simple setup with simple and ‘at a glance’ monitoring.

SL22-2.jpg

As well as the standard input and output XLRs (that can be securely locked using the optional tamperproof bracket) the SL22 also features a limited headphone output, that works in the same manner as the XLR’s, plus the ability to be controlled externally via a fire alarm or operator, and also connections to allow data logging of the SL22’s operation, or external visual indication via a light on a wall, for example.

Dateq

Dateq is a Dutch company that specializes in the development and production of professional audio equipment, especially for the hospitality and events industry.

DATEQ SPL2: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER

The microcontroller in the limiter continuously measures the input signal and attenuates the output as much as necessary to keep the maximum sound pressure level below a preset value. Since the SPL limiters are not peak limiters, the dynamics of the music is not affected.

On the SPL2, both the input sensitivity (threshold) and the output attenuation (output level) can be set. All connectors and the controllers can be sealed after installation so that they cannot be modified afterwards.

DATEQ SPL2TS: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER WITH CLOCK

The SPL2TS is equipped with a built-in clock. This makes it possible to set different sound pressure levels for each part of the day. The built-in calendar supports up to 10 dates on which the limiter operates in 'bypass' mode. All these settings can be set using the PC software.

DATEQ SPL3: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER

The SPL3 has another function. It has a measuring microphone so that the sound pressure of, for example, a live band can also be measured. This makes the SPL3 ideally suited for live performances where the band brings its own equipment. In live mode, if the sound pressure level exceeds the preset value, the limiter can give a warning to the band (a flashing lamp). If the sound pressure remains too high, the limiter will give a sanction. It is possible to switch off the mains voltage by means of this sanction.

DATEQ SPL3TS: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER WITH CLOCK

The SPL3TS has a built-in clock. This makes it possible to set different sound pressure levels for each part of the day. The built-in calendar supports up to 10 dates on which the limiter operates in 'bypass' mode. All these settings can be set using the PC software.

DATEQ SPL5TS MKII: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER MET KLOK

In live situations, the SPL5 MKII can be used to monitor sound pressure. If necessary, the SPL5 can disconnect the mains voltage from the stage equipment. The band can be warned in advance by means of a lamp. In a non-live situation, i.e. the music is played over the connected PA system, the SPL5 is connected between the mixing desk and the power amplifiers. The measured microphone level is used to determine the output attenuation.

A new feature of the SPL5 is the ability to store sound pressure information in its internal memory. The data is kept for a period of two months. In addition to being a limiter, the SPL5 is also a decibel logger. The data can be read from the limiter using the PC software. The limiter is configured with the same software. Before it is possible to make adjustments in the system, the software must be registered. This makes it impossible for unauthorized persons to modify the system.
With this software it is also possible to control and read the limiter over a computer network, and even over the Internet!

DATEQ SPL6: SOUND LEVEL LIMITER WITH CORRELATION DETECTION

Enthusiastic audience is of course what every entrepreneur likes to see. However, this should not be at the expense of the music. Especially for this the SPL6 is equipped with correlation detection. The detection compares the music and the measurement. The public no longer has any influence on the measurements of the limiter.

DATEQ SPL-D2: SOUND PRESSURE METER

The SPL-D2 is a sound pressure meter. This device can be used as a stand-alone device, but it is also possible to connect the SPL-D2 to an SPL5 limiter. The display consists of high-efficiency bi-color LEDs. This makes it clearly readable from a distance.

DATEQ SPL-D3: SOUND PRESSURE METER & LOGGER

The SPL-D3 is a sound pressure meter and logger. This device can be used as a stand-alone device, but it is also possible to connect the SPL-D3 to an SPL5mk2 or SPL6 limiter. The display consists of high-efficiency multi-color LEDs. This makes it clearly readable from a distance. The color of the display changes from green, orange to red depending on the measured sound level.

FORMULA SENTRY MKII: CUT OFF LIMITER

The Sentry MK2 Cut Off Limiter is designed to monitor sound levels and provide a trigger when a preset sound level is exceeded. The trigger will normally be used to trip a contactor removing the mains power supply to the music system
